Right now, we’re looking for a new Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team, and we hope that search ends with you.

Inside Sales Representative

Your primary goal in this position is to increase our revenue and drive sales of our programs and offerings. To start, your main focus will be to drive sales and increase revenue for our online programs. mostly focusing on our online programs for the time being.

You’ll never have to make any cold calls – warm leads come to us! Most of your day will be spent on the phones following up with warm leads and closing sales through phone and email communication.

Practically speaking, you will:

  • Follow up on warm, qualified leads over the phone to close sales
  • Meet KPIs and sales targets (weekly revenue sold and calls made)
  • Track, update, and log information using our CRM, ensuring accuracy
  • Build relationships with clients over the phone
  • Reach out to past clients and determine if future opportunities may exist
  • Secure referrals for potential business leads
  • Attend fairs, trade shows, and other events to represent the organization and generate sales

We’ll be looking to you to help build and refine our scripts and processes. You’ll have the autonomy to make improvements as you see fit, and your input will always be valued.

Working with MakerKids

This is a permanent position, and can be flexible to accommodate either a full-time or part-time work schedule. Typically, you’ll work from 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm, but will need to be flexible to work some weekends as needed for events or follow up calls.

Our bright, colourful, playful Makerspace office is located at 2451 Bloor St. West in Toronto, easily accessible through public transit. This position is currently remote offering you the flexibility to work from home. We’re also a Certified B Corp, which means we believe in using business as a force for good.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in inside sales, connecting with clients/leads over the phone and by email
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, meeting quotas for number of calls made
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Experience using any CRM or similar database to track and update customer information
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business or any related field
  • Experiencing selling childcare/camp programs or similar (an asset)
